Executive Meeting #1 (25/26)

This was our first meeting with our new team! We got to know each other and learned about the theme this year- “Making it Matter”. Alongside our “5 R’s” to properly explore this topic over the year’s meetings! (See below). They EXEC’s are hard at work planning the first middle meeting (Nov 5 @Pinetree) and the first secondary (Nov 6 @Pinetree).

Reasons:

• This phase will be useful towards the awareness of authentic intention towards initiatives. This will make sure that the initiative is enjoyable and impactful.
• We will also use this theme to highlight the groups impacted by the work done.
• At this meeting, we hope to find issues and topics that we are passionate about, and help shape their ideas and focuses towards them.

Resources:

• This meeting will focus on physical/monetary resources (the SIF) as well as mental/organizational resources.
• We will be focusing on time management and scheduling, as well as stress management.
• There will also be an focus on the responsibilities that come along with beginning something, and how to collaborate.

Relationships:

• This will be the half-way point for the year. We will be discussing networking and the connections/relationships that come along with it.
• We will also be talking about a sub-theme of reciprocity, and how you can build relationships in which both people benefit.

Results: 

• This meeting will mainly be about sharing the results of our work. This will look different in the middle school sub-committee and the secondary sub-committee.
• We will also be looking at our, analyzing weak points and strengths.

Reflection: 

• We will be focusing on what the members can do in the future during this meeting.
• Also, reflecting on what went well, and how we can learn from what went not so well.
