Student Leadership Council (SLC) works with the Board of Education to provide an outlet for students to get themselves, and their schools, involved in district-wide initiatives, have their voices heard and engage with like-minded individuals.
This year, our theme is Taking Initiative – an opportunity for student growth and encouragement to become active in their communities. We host monthly general meetings for Middle and Secondary students where youth from SD43 come together to develop their leadership skills, share their voices, and get to go on retreats and field trips.
Our Executive Council, comprised of students across SD43, plan and run all of our meetings. SLC provides members with amazing opportunities for self-growth, empowerment, mental wellness support, and networking skills.
