What was the World Cafe?
The World Cafe was an event on personalized learning held at Winslow Centre on January 12, 2016. We had representatives from 15 schools in attendance and gathered their opinions on the subject through a series of questions tying it back to various aspects of their lives and education. The ultimate goal of the event was to cumulate the unique opinions of the students of SD43 and bring them back to various groups within the district so the students can directly help to shape the way personalized learning is offered.
What have we done with the information collected?
Above is the finalized poster that was created at the event, we have already presented it at a District Board Meeting and a District Parent Advisory Council Meeting and plan to continue to promote it and link it to any organizations doing work around personalized learning.
